Heinz NixdorfHNF is dedicated to Heinz Nixdorf, the computer pioneer and innovative, public-spirited entrepreneur who helped turn computers into intelligent tools and who wanted information technology to be a benefit to mankind.

He died in 1986. He had the idea of founding a museum to show people - especially the young - the story of computing, collecting over 1000 historical objects for this purpose. Stiftung Westfalen, a foundation that he established, has now made his dream come true using his collection and adding contemporary items. The foundation believes that this is as Heinz Nixdorf would have wished.
