exhibitions |
In
addition to its permanent exhibits, the HNF has
two areas devoted to an ambitious program of special
exhibitions. These reflect questions concerning
communication and technology, their history and
current standing. All exhibitions are presented
in conjunction with a range of lectures, workshops

Do you think they think? This exhibition was launched
at the start of the 3rd millennium to take stock
of research efforts and to compare the current development
status of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic
with the capabilities of the human brain. Walking
robots and insights into the human brain as well
as unique exhibits from international research laboratories
demonstrated how far development has already progressed.
The exhibition was a huge success with a total of

History
of the Grammophon |
|
Grammophones and sound carriers from the period
of 1890 to 1940 explained the beginning of this
fascinating aspect of musical history. Sound samples
of contemporary recordings revived the charm of
old songs and voices. HNF revisited the Zeitgeist
of 1920s by inviting the public to a series of tea-dances
that offered nostalgia as original recordings came
to life around them.
